How Do You Define Success?

Caleb
Goal 1: Eliminate Knee Pain
Goal 2: Get Stronger

Bethany
Goal 1: Body Composition
Goal 2: Improve Mile Run

"I had stopped working out for a while due to a knee issue. I lost motivation and thought my pain was something I'd have to live with. Through my training plan the knee pain has completely gone away. I could tell a major difference when I went on a ski-trip. Not only was I confident in my knee but I had more overall energy!
I'm currently focused on my new goal of getting stronger with squats and deadlifts. I'm also trying to live an overall healthier and active lifestyle outside of the gym with more activity and better eating habits."
"I was stuck in a rut and gaining weight while on an intense workout program elsewhere. I needed a change! Immediately, Andy's approach was completely different from my other training experiences. We sat down and  he helped me figure out appropriate goals and check marks to make sure I was on track. He also implemented a running plan because I really enjoy running. I not only started losing weight but dropped 1 minute and 30 seconds off of my mile in 6 weeks! Andy has taught me a lot about the importance of goal setting and has helped my achieve my goals!"

Goal 1: Golf Performance, College Prep
Goal 2: Body Composition

"Andy brought a combination of enthusiasm and professionalism to every session and always gave a 100% effort in helping me improve as an athlete. He put so much time and care in developing and evolving my sessions as we would achieve and set new goals. Andy's one of the hardest working people I've ever met and I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity to work with him."

Phylecia
Goal 1: Avoid Back Surgery
Goal 2: Move Without Pain

"I started training with Andy in the Winter of 2015 in hopes of improving my back to avoid back surgery. By early 2016 I improved so much that I was able to avoid surgery!! I have learned that my back issue was a result of other things in my body not doing their job and my low back, was not the cause but doing too much. I have a specific plan that helps my upper back and hips become more mobile and controlled in multiple ways. I am able to move with confidence and not fear my back problems with every step or reach."

Goal 1: Boxing Performance
Goal 2: Improve Cardio

At MOVE there's no blanket programming, or no one size fits all kind of fitness. Andy personalizes workouts that are suited for your specific need. I'm a professional boxer and firefighter, so my workouts are based on my needs...my wife and daughter workout at MOVE also. Their needs are different than mine, so they have a different program.

Goal 1: Improve Knee Function/Pain
Goals 2: Mountain Biking Performance

Andy is the best coach! Came to him after knee surgery 1 year ago. I was advised, "Don't do squats!" I got stronger than I ever was before and gained sky high confidence! I do all sorts of squats with and without weight and some incredible deadlifting too. But still, you have to be dedicated and you must want to give every drop of sweat you have. If that applies to you, whatever condition you're in, Andy is going to make you stronger!

Jeremiah
Goal 1: Get Stronger
Goal 2: Do a Push-Up

I registered my son (Jeremiah) for the Youth Summer MOVE camp in 2016. Before attending, he was really worried he could no do the exercises and did not want to stay at all. I made him stay and we are both SO thankful he did! He had a big smile on his face when I picked him up and he as been with Coach Andy ever since. Every workout is met with unique challenges and consistent encouragement. Coach Andy takes time to know each child, discover what drives them to success, and how to meet their individual fitness needs.

Goal 1: Volleyball Performance
Goal 2: To Maximize My Potential

When I first started MOVE, I was not always motivated. As we progressed he started helping me with my quickness and reaction. When I workout I am trying to get better for volleyball.
Andy  is always incorporating extra things to help me react faster, move quicker, and get better! So I can be the best player I can be. He always pushes me to work harder and push through my workouts even when it's tough and maintain quality with that! He motivates everyone to do more than they think they can, and is an awesome coach!

Testimonials

Andy's passion and commitment to improving performance is unsurpassed.  His dedication to his clients and athletes is what makes him such an outstanding coach and an amazing person.
Matt Herring - Hill Country Indoor - AIM, Director of Performance - Austin, Texas
I met Andy through a former mentor and through the past few years have gotten to know him better and better.  I can say without a doubt Andy cares about the athlete as a person first.  In my opinion that's a trait of a great coach.
Zach Woodfin - Director of Strength & Conditioning, Kansas
Coach Weigel's workouts coupled with his passion and dedication are second to none.  His work ethic and enthusiasm certainly brings out the best in everyone involved.
Curt Weeks - Head Basketball Coach, Tuscaloosa County HS
I have been blessed to work with Andy during my time at Alabama.  During September 2011, I suffered a traumatic neck injury playing flag football.  Andy helped bring me back to where I was pre-injury by alleviating the pain in my neck and back with his unique approach.  Andy's impact on my life extended far beyond the walls of the gym as he took a vested interest not only in my recovery, but also my future.  I am beyond thankful for everything that he has done for me and he is someone who I look forward to keeping in contact with as well as watching grow.
Brooks Merrill - Former Alabama Basketball Manager

Coach Andy is one of the best total fitness Coaches in the field. He's an avid reader and student which translates into him being a well informed leader. He is also very passionate about his work and those whom he serves which translates to him being a great motivator. With his MIND and SOUL, he will get your BODY in the best shape that it has ever been in.

When I first met Andy I could only do 3 pull-ups. He was very supportive and encouraging while also developing a plan of action to help me get to where I wanted to go. My goals were very simple; get toned and do more than 3 pull-ups! I'm proud to say that I can now do more than 30 pull-ups in one set and lost several inches in the process.

This is precisely what makes Andy so unique. He's not a one size fits all type of instructor, but prides himself on assessment that leads to success! He does this by simply identifying WHERE YOU ARE, WHERE YOU WANT TO GO and DEVELOPING A PLAN TO GET YOU THERE. Along the way, he will educate you on how your body functions while connecting the dots to help you see how the exercises that he does fits into the big scheme of you reaching your specific goals.

I have been the personal beneficiary of Andy's vast knowledge of Body function. In October of 2012 I developed a terrible case of Plantar Fascistic (which is intense pain in the heel of your foot), from playing basketball without stretching. I tried to rehab it on my own for 5 months but saw no results and the pain was getting worse.  Andy developed a rehab game plan which involved stretches and exercise to be done with him as well as on my own. Very soon afterwards the pain subsided and I haven't had anymore issues with it. Andy's vast knowledge of Body function will be of great value to you as he creates a exercise plan for you but will be valuable in many other ways as well!
